CUSTOM & COMMISSIONED WORK My Art I am fascinated by the natural form and love to create. I am driven to produce the visual art which pushes both my the capability of both my skill and imagination. In the creation of a piece I strive for impeccable form bring it to life. In excepting the challenge of commissioned work I will never sacrifice quality. I have enough work that is showing on my web site for anyone to make a qualified decision whether of not I am the definitive artist they would like to enlist creating the image that they treasure. The Final Price Estimating the price of a commissioned sculpture for me does not come easy and requires a lot of thought. It is not like buying a car where the object you are purchasing is right in front of you, here the art form is yet to exist. Wood sculpture by nature is time intensive work I have to think through the carving process in it's entirety. There are many variables in composition that go into the pricing a piece: size, type of wood, method of carving, detail, texture, position, location etc. can make the price vary from hundreds to thousands of dollars. Therefore I need as much information as possible when pricing commissioned work. |
